  1. Floating charge. Refers to charging while working online. This method is often used in standby power supply situations. If it is below 12 volts, it cannot be charged, and if it is too high, it will affect the operation of the circuit. Therefore, when floating charge is working, the voltage is 13.8 volts.

  2. Cyclic charging. It refers to fully charging the battery to restore its capacity. When fully charged, it is measured with the charger continuously turned on, generally around 14.5 volts, with a maximum of not more than 14.9 volts. After disconnecting the charger for 24 hours, it is typically between 13 volts and 13.5 volts. About 12.8 to 12.9 volts after a week. The specific voltage values of different batteries vary.

  A typical lithium battery cell is 3.7v, with a full charge voltage of 4.2v. After being connected in series, the nominal voltage is only 7.4v, 11.1v, 14.8v... The corresponding full charge voltage (i.e., the no-load output voltage of the charger) is 8.4v, 12.6v, 16.8v...   The open circuit voltage of lead-acid power batteries for electric vehicles is about 13.3V at full charge, and that of automotive starting batteries is about 12.8V at full charge.

  In general, one condition must be met! That is, the charging current should not be higher than 1/10 of the battery ampere hour! Not less than 1/5!
